As part of the Digital Craft Festival 2020, Nick has curated a selection of photofilms from over 200 he has made since 2009. Many have been recorded, edited and published from a tent on one of his long-distance bicycle journeys.
You can view the photofilms here.
“These little films have been made over the past ten or so years, they represent a number of different projects, sometimes involving long bicycle journeys. I think there is something special about a person who has chosen a slow way of making something by hand. Often this craft has been taught by someone else who was also a master maker. Without exception I have found these people both welcoming and inspiring. I would normally say that I'm a visual person but I never tire of listening to these voices. I hope that you can spend some time listening to them and I hope that you too find some inspiration that makes you want to pick up a piece or wood or clay or wool or type or whatever and turn it into something both useful and beautiful.” Nick Hand, 2020
